May 11, 8:30 am – 12:00 pm: Envisioning the future. Both members and the CTC Executive Committee are invited to participate in this forward-looking session.
We’ll talk about the status quo: Tree canopy cover is low at 18%, less than one-fifth of what is possible. Each year an estimated 75 acres of tree canopy is lost. At this rate, the canopy will drop to 14% by 2040 unless we act now. And then, we’ll brainstorm about our ideal future that can be achieved with the right strategies and planning.
May 12, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, CTC Goal setting workshop. Both members and the Executive Committee are invited to participate in this forward-looking session.
Engaging, interactive sessions in the morning and afternoon will lead to a set of short-term, 3-5 year goals for the CTC. These goals reflect past work and successes and should complement member organization goals. We’ll use a systems approach to ensure we’re selecting plans – and setting ourselves up for the right strategies – that can positively impact communities and nature.
