Our Impact

Each year, the Cleveland Tree Coalition strives to fund neighborhood planting projects, support tree giveaways, and advocate for policy, systems, and environmental change. This also includes building up our workforce, increasing communications, and supporting community engagement.

Working Committees

There are four working committees implementing the work of the Coalition. Each committee has a Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary. Committees align the work of individual organizations and the mission of the Cleveland Tree Coalition.

  • Goal: Collect and share neighborhood stories to get more trees in the ground.

    2025 Workplan

  • Goal 1: Increase capacity and funding to plant and establish trees in strategic locations in the city of Cleveland.

Goal 2: Design and test pilot programs to incentivize and subsidize mature tree maintenance, prioritizing environmental justice areas while reducing the loss of mature trees.

    2025 Workplan

  • Goal: Advocate for new legislation and funding as well as stronger enforcement of policies related to trees at local, county, and state levels.

    2025 Workplan

  • Goal: Partner with employers, education providers, and government entities to create a pipeline for existing and new employees with the skills needed to plant, maintain, and fulfill tree-related activities.
